“Is that any way to greet an old friend?”  Rafe jokes smugly, relishing Caleb’s momentary bewilderment.

“I got rid of you,” Caleb exclaims.

“Must be tough being wrong so often,” Rafe responds with self-righteous glee.

“And all this time I thought I had crushed this little worm,” Caleb smiles with disgust, regaining his poise and swagger.

“I know what you’re doing to the people of Port Charles, Caleb, and the party stops tonight,” Rafe sermonizes.

“Getting a little uppity aren’t you?” Caleb scoffs.  “Maybe I need to teach you another lesson.”

“Nice try, but I know you’re not back to your full powers yet.  Otherwise I couldn’t have called you out here for this nice little chat,” Rafe gloats.

“Don’t push it.  You still don’t want to see my bad side,” Caleb warns.

“You’re hurting innocent people, Caleb,” Rafe scolds in a whiney voice of diminishing authority, like a pedantic teacher trying to threaten a defiant, much stronger pupil.  “Leave them alone.”

“Or what?”  Caleb sneers.  “You’ll keep me after class?”  He pouts seductively, a surly, taunting challenge.

“Or our next fight will have a very different outcome,” Rafe bluffs.

“You can’t kill me, Slayer.  I’m not even fully alive,” Caleb replies, his voice calm and assured.

“Which makes you vulnerable as hell,” Rafe laughs, feigning confidence.  “You’re still weak, and I’ve picked up a few tricks since the last time we met.”
“What you’re doing is boring me, Rafe,” Caleb sneers.  “I’m out of here.”  But as Caleb starts to vanish, becoming spirit, Rafe forms a fist, telekinetically tugging Caleb back into physical form

“We’re not done talking,” Rafe growls.

“How’d you do that?” Caleb asks, amazed, perhaps even gaining a bit more respect for his formerly predictable foe.

“It’s not much fun being someone else’s prey, is it?” Rafe exults, ignoring Caleb’s question and delighting in the power he temporarily wields over his vampire nemesis. “It’s terrible wanting to run but knowing you can’t, wondering if you’re about to stare your own death right in the face.  You can’t escape me now, Caleb.  How does it feel?  Is your whole miserable life flashing before your eyes?”
