“You’re wasting your breath, Rafe,” Caleb comments, walking back over to Livvie.  “The minute I leave, she won’t remember any of this.”  He stands behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders.

“Unless I can get her to remember all the stuff you’re making her do,” Rafe threatens.

“Do?” Livvie echoes.

“And that you’re not her real love at all.  But Jack is,” Rafe adds. “And then you'll be lost to her forever.”

“You are playing a very dangerous game now, my friend,” Caleb warns.
“Your powers aren’t as strong as you thought they were, huh?” Rafe taunts.

“I can show you exactly how powerful,” Caleb replies ominously while gently rubbing Livvie’s neck and shoulders.

“Help me, Rafe,” Livvie says timidly.

“He can’t,” Caleb responds, still massaging her as if she were soft, supple clay he could mold into any shape he desired.

“You can help yourself,” Rafe advises.  “It’s within you.”

“I’m your destiny,” Caleb says, nuzzling her neck and repeating the words he uttered prophetically on their first meeting.
“You know this man is evil.  You helped destroy him once.  You can do it again,” Rafe urges.

“You gave me life, Olivia.  There is no greater love than that,” Caleb again reminds her.  With these words, Rafe’s influence over her evaporates.  Livvie turns towards Caleb, knowing that her desires, though suppressed and denied, are stronger than her morality, her reason, and her love for Jack.

“Yes,” she replies, looking at him conspiratorially, as she acknowledges their mutual passion.
“No, Livvie.  Don’t listen to him,” Rafe begs in helpless frustration.

“It was your desire, Olivia,” Caleb assures her, reminding her of their shared darkness and carnality.
