“The only one who’s pathetic here is you, Caleb!” Jack scowls.

“It was so easy tearing you all apart, of course, with help from my wife,” Caleb taunts.

“That’s a lie,” Kevin shouts.

“Olivia was my partner in ,” Caleb pauses and looks at Jamal..  “In so many ways.  Like bringing Valerie to town to separate you from the toothy blonde.”

“You lousy, gutless coward,” Jamal bristles.

“Hmm, thank you,” Caleb continues, politely acknowledging the insult and then turning his attention to Kevin.  “And, of course, delivering the letter to you that whipped up all your suspicions about guess who.  But I guess I’ll never really, really forget her award-winning performance as  . . ”  He pauses again, amused at their fright and bewilderment.  “You’re looking at me like you don’t know what I’m talking about.  Well, well, then, why don’t we go to a clip?  You know what they say about pictures.”  He points at the wall behind him, and a movie appears, a video clip showing Livvie’s metamorphosis into Anne-Marie.

“Anne-Marie,” Eve cries .

“Livvie,” Kevin gasps.

“And that’s not all,” Caleb adds, pointing to the wall screen again, which this time is showing Livvie's transformation into Christina.

“Now for the big bonus points,” Caleb prompts, goading Kevin to piece together the puzzle implicating Livvie in the destruction of relationships and Lucy’s tormenting visions of Christina.   Kevin realizes that his daughter has helped cause the sorrow plaguing them all.    She has been a conspirator, turning against her own family and friends to fulfill Caleb’s bloodthirsty schemes.

“Wasn’t she brilliant?”  Caleb gushes, rubbing his hands together in enthusiasm.  “But nothing really compares to her greatest performance of all.  A truly drop dead . . . in fact, that’s exactly what your fiancée did when she saw it.  Or is it your fiancée?”  His gaze shifts from Kevin to Ian.  “You people have me so confused.”

“No!” Kevin screams.

“I want you to know, Dad, your daughter’s a very resourceful young woman,” Caleb notes, echoing James’ as well as Kevin’s comments about Livvie.  Vampire bride, precious daughter, treacherous friend, Livvie assumes many roles, many guises, as she afflicts the lives of those she touches.

“No, you. . . you brainwashed her,” Kevin insists.  “Livvie would never harm anyone on her own.”

“Aaaa,” Caleb exclaims, imitating the sound of a buzzer on a game show.  “Guess again.”

“All right, then, where is she?” Kevin demands.  “I don’t see her here at your sick little circus.  She wouldn’t come, would she?  She refused to have anything to do with it!”
