| "Not hot enough," Caleb remarks as he takes an ice cube from a glass of water and sucks on it, then rubs it slowly over Gabby's neck. "What have you done to me?" Gabby gasps, as she succumbs to the sensual pleasure Caleb awakens once more within her. "Given you a little taste of the good life," he explains (another play on words emphasizing the oral orientation of vampirism). "I can't stop thinking about you," Gabby sighs. "Don't even try," Caleb responds. "But I miss you so much when you're gone," Gabby persists. "I'm here now, and I have what you need," Caleb says suggestively, as he bites her. What other erotic pleasures Caleb may be giving Gabby is left up to our imagination, but whatever he provides far surpasses anything Gabby has ever experienced and is so addictively wonderful that she will give her soul, her life as she keeps craving more. ****************************************** The next episode revolves around the conflict between Caleb and Michael, the constant struggle between impulse and restraint, a struggle Jack also wages within himself as he fears his vampiric urges will cause him to harm Livvie. Caleb's inner battle resurfaces after he returns from his encounter with Jack in the woods. Walking down the basement stairs of the monastery, Caleb is in an exultant mood. "Oh, Jack, if you could have seen your face when I told you you were becoming a vampire," he laughs. "Ah... I really need to start videotaping this stuff." As he reaches the bottom of the stairs, however, his elation suddenly turns to panic when he discovers that a suitcase containing Olivia's belongings has been disturbed. Agitated and extremely upset, Caleb begins rummaging through the suitcase and throwing objects around the room, growling furiously. Hearing the commotion, Father Michael walks downstairs. "My God, Caleb. What are you doing?" he asks nervously. "You let that whore wear Olivia's wedding dress," Caleb hisses, his expression wild, simmering with rage. "How could you let another woman wear Olivia's dress? Look at me, Michael. What, your precious Eve...she doesn't have her own clothes? Or are you now running a thrift store as well as a church?" In a placating voice, Michael tries to explain that Eve and Ian's wedding at the church was a "blessed event," but Caleb, his eyes full of hurt and betrayal as well as anger, yells, "That dress was SACRED to ME. To Olivia's memory. " "I'll get it back. I will," Michael promises. "You don't understand. That dress meant everything to me, Michael. Everything," Caleb exclaims as he starts to walk back up the stairs. "And now it's ruined. Ruined." |
