"I promise," Livvie agrees.

"Then I have another surprise for you," Caleb says, taking her hand and leading her out onto the terrace.

Like the Villa's billowing white curtains undulating gracefully in the breeze, there is a playful, seductive sense of
mystery and revelation as Caleb and Livvie explore secret realms of sensuality and desire.

********************************************************************************************

The silk curtains of the Villa beautifully evoke Caleb's sensual, leisurely seduction of Livvie. Caleb is, in a sense,
the creator and choreographer of the seduction, establishing the proper atmosphere and setting, using his magic
and charm to shape Livvie's reactions, but despite his skillful manipulation of mood and events, he is still a
participant in the fantasy world he creates with Livvie. Ultimately, even though he hates to admit it, he is
vulnerable to Livvie's feelings towards him. He has to win her heart; without her love he is doomed to the sad,
lonely existence he had before she entered his life.

Throughout this episode there is a recurring theme of pursuit--Caleb and Livvie playfully pursue each other in the
maze of silk curtains; Kevin and Lucy follow clues they think will guide them to Livvie; Jack tries to find Livvie
but ends up discovering the remains of Caleb's first Olivia; Alison and Jamal follow Gabby in hopes that she will
lead them to Caleb and Livvie; and Gabby seeks the truth about her biological family. The silk curtains symbolize
this game of hide and seek, the veils of illusion, ever shifting, continually revealing and concealing. As the episode
progresses, we see each pursuit revealing at least some portion of the truth, exposing at least one dark secret.

At the Villa Livvie searches for Caleb, walking through the maze of curtains. The white silk curtains are bathed in
a rosy glow, creating a graceful, delicate fantasyscape of gentle mystery and romance.

"Are you ready for me, Olivia?" Caleb calls to her from somewhere, his voice softly hollow, resonant, echoing
with tender yearning.

"Caleb, where are you?" she calls back.
"Tonight's a special night," he says. " Do you know why?"

"No, tell me," she replies.

"Tonight you'll know who I really am. Are you ready, my love?" he asks.

"Caleb? Where are you? Why won't you come out? Stop teasing," she scolds gently," I want to see you."

"Are you sure?" he playfully warns.

"Of course," she answers. "I want to know everything about you."

"Think about it," he cautions. "Because once you know the truth it's going to be hard to go back to life as you
know it. Not that you'd want to."

"Tell me," Livvie coaxes.

"When you're finally ready to do this, turn your heart over to me," Caleb says, suddenly touching her shoulder,
then disappearing into the maze of curtains.

As she searches for him, he reappears in front of her, gliding out from the translucent silk as if from a field of
mist. He approaches her and puts his hand on her heart. "Let it beat in time
with mine," he urges. Only then can
you truly see me. It's time, Olivia. It's time." He gently caresses her hair and shoulders. "You think you're finally
ready to give up everything? You don't have to answer now. I've learned I can have patience."

"I don't even know what you're going to say, but I have this strong need to know," Livvie replies, as Caleb
disappears.

"Tell me that you want me," his voice commands.

"I do want more of you," she shouts back.

"Come to me. Come to me," he summons, reappearing and motioning for her to come to him, then vanishing again.
