They lie together in bed, leisurely enjoying each other's bodies. Caleb touches her arm, tracing it with his finger,
savoring the feel of her soft, smooth flesh.
"You're wondering if it's real," he muses, as if he is wondering the same thing, not quite daring to believe the
bliss.
"You read my mind," she replies.
"Everything that came before is the illusion," he tells her. "This is your reality now."
"And you'll never be disappointed in me?" she asks, needing his comforting assurance of unconditional eternal
love.
"Hey," he says gently, turning her to look at him. "How could you think that? Oh, what's that? Is that a little
trace of fear I still see?"

"When do I complete my journey?" she inquires.
"When you're ready," he answers, kissing her hand. "I'll give you everything you need. As a matter of fact, I
have a little surprise for you."
But as Caleb gets up to retrieve his surprise, a rather unwelcome surprise interrupts their honeymoon--the
sudden, intrusive appearance of Jack.
"I've got to hand it to you," Caleb smirks, quickly regaining his composure and waving his finger tauntingly at
Jack. "Your timing is impeccable."
"Jack, what are you doing here?" Livvie gasps.
"I was just starting to have this wonderful afternoon," Caleb remarks, still smiling and poised. "All right," he
sighs, flexing his knuckles as if preparing for another annoying, wearisome battle with his obstinate rival. "Let's
do this." Caleb takes Livvie's hand, and she clings to him.
"No. No fighting, Caleb," Jack unexpectedly announces. "Not anymore. I came to tell you, you win."
