It is the beginning of the Vampire Shows on Port Charles, “Tainted Love,” when Caleb the vampire meets his soulmate Livvie (Olivia) by the river. I hope that this helps you relive the good times, and helps you crave new times with Port Charles, should ABC decide to bring it back to life. I sure hope so!

 I, Alison Armstrong, have also written the following letter to TV Guide about our campaign.  I urge you to also write letters to Tv Guide, as well as to the soap magazines and ABC executives: To: Letters/ TV Guide

Before Twilight, before True Blood and other recent vampire movies and TV
programs, there was a daytime drama on ABC-TV featuring a seductive,
charismatic, (at times, sinister) vampire and his beautiful, tempestuous,
dangerously erratic soulmate. This daytime drama depicted a world of vampires,
mortals, Slayers, and various supernatural beings struggling to coexist, a world
of magic and intrigue, violence and passion, torment and humor, a world briefly
known as Port Charles. Unfortunately, Port Charles, forced into a frequently
pre-empted, half-hour time slot, was never given the chance to thrive, and
despite being nominated for a Daytime Emmy, it was shortly thereafter cancelled,
its storylines ending abruptly as scripts for exciting new storylines, already
written, lie waiting to be filmed. Ironically, now that vampires are
increasingly popular, Port Charles is no longer around to satisfy the public’s
craving for these sensual beings of the undead.

We Port Charles fans have initiated a campaign proposing the return of the
series with new episodes continuing where the hastily cancelled show left off
and featuring many (if not all) of the major actors (such as Michael Easton)
portraying the characters they brought to life. Joining together with fans of
other vampire shows (in particular True Blood and Twilight), we plan to let the
media, TV executives, and public know that, given the current popularity of
supernatural-themed TV shows and movies, Port Charles, with its haunting, darkly
romantic storylines, could become a tremendous hit.

For viewers, such as myself, who value innovation, humor, and suspense combined
with psychological depth, Port Charles is the perfect antidote to the
uninspiring glut of reality shows dominating our airwaves. If you are a fan of
the supernatural, a fan of dark romance and offbeat storylines, then please join
with us to help revive Port Charles so that its magic and passion can reign
again.
